About the Project

Babyftpd is a project started by Klas Lindfors and Joakim Lundin in the spring of 2001. It started out as a project in highschool and is now just a hobby project. It's primary features is a heavily threaded structure resulting in a smaller memory footprint and possibilities of tighter interaction between connections.

It is also a modern ftp daemon, incorporating changes in recent drafts and RFCs about the ftp protocol, among others draft-murray-auth-ftp-ssl and draft-ietf-ftpext-mlst. It is written with the standards in mind and tested with most noteworthy ftp clients.

There is still alot of work to be done but feel free to test it, code from cvs is probably the most stable and bug free, but then again, somebody might have "fixed" something in cvs..
